Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

We are a Title I school, where most of the student population receives free or reduced-price lunch. Some students in my classroom receive weekend bags of food in order to sustain while away from school. Despite these hardships, my students are eager to learn and enjoy coming to school each day.

We are also a Leader in Me school which is allowing us to learn the 7 Habits, apply them to our personal lives, both here at school and at home.

My Project

Please help me help my students explore their creative side! A variety of art materials including foam shapes, sequins, pipe cleaners, and pony beads will give my students the chance to create beyond just what can be put on paper with crayons or markers.

I want to give my students the chance to discover,explore, and grow through art.

As a part of the STEAM initiative my district is participating in, the art materials will allow for more open ended projects to be created. Please help me purchase the art materials I need to create a creative explosion in my classroom.
