Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My children love to hear about different places, people and things. They are very inquisitive and love to do hands-on centers for learning.
My students are pre-kindergarten age and are sponges for any information they can get their hands on and minds around.
They are growing and learning in a large, tight-knit, school community. They are dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and questioners. They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them, even if they don't know it yet. They are budding ambassadors, world travelers, scientists, entrepreneurs, and teachers. They are our future and I want to give them a great start to their long successful career.
My Project
We have 3, 4 and 5 year olds that are trying to learn a new way to communicate through letters and numbers. They are also learning social skills. We want to teach them in many different ways.
We are concentrating on soaring into learning this year with different ways to learn our letters and numbers through artwork.
We will use different colors of paper for our backgrounds. They will use map pencils, sharpies, standard chalk, chalk pens, and paint to express themselves.
We will use the tablets at small group for the children to work on their letters and numbers through learning applications. They will also be able to see their artwork on the tablets through the photos and learn to talk about their art with each other. We will be socializing with each other and discussing each other’s art by using social and language skills to interact with each other.
