Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Flexible seating in our classroom will give students greater control of their learning environment. The flexibility will enable my students to be fully engaged in both whole group & project-based learning for all their academic content.

Imagine a small group student fully engaged with one another, sitting comfortably, & working collaboratively on a brilliant project.

The space they spend the majority of their time needs to be welcoming and conducive to group work. This is especially true since they are working on making up gains lost through this pandemic!

I'm also donating my personal time and money to this project to provide them a welcoming space. This includes lamp lighting for a sense of calm, plus dry erase boards and markers so students can co-create what we need to learn.

I want the results of this project to be a more active, engaged, enthusiastic, and relaxed classroom of students. I believe it will be well worth the effort when we meet our students in this beautiful space with the requested new table and chairs.
