I have been fortunate to work with creative, out-going and energetic students for the past 17 years. Unfortunately due the low - income of my student's and district , we are unable to supply them with a ceramic unit. the cost to ship clay is as much as buying and we would love to be able to explore this medium in class.
My students would gain hands on experience of using clay to hand-build vases and bowls. They would learn the history and techniques, as well as processes of using clay medium.
My Project
Due to the high cost to ship clay , my high schools will not be able to experience this wonderful medium with out your help.
In my creative crafts class we would use the clay to hand build sculptures and explore clay as a medium, I have found clay is the most rewarding medium to offer.
We would use the clay to build slab vessels and organic bowls. student will learn not only how clay is made now, but the history of clay. My students would gain hands on experience of using clay to hand-build vases and bowls. They would learn the history and techniques, as well as processes of using clay medium.
