We have the best students ever! We are a community school and have over five hundred fifty students with twelve different languages spoken and over thirty countries represented. We are a low-income school and offer free breakfast and lunch every day. We also provide many after school programs to meet the many needs of our students and families. Along with offering programs, we strive to meet the needs of all our families by providing resources for housing, a food pantry, job assistance, clothing, and counseling services.
My Project
My students need more materials for their Cricut Machine including these requested adhesive vinyl sheets and T-shirts. Having these needed materials will benefit my students in so many ways.
The first way is to create materials for lessons, bulletin boards, flyers, and science fair boards.
My students will also get a chance to interact with technology, design their own projects, and watch them come to life. They will have to learn how to program the machine and problem solve while designing. Students will use math to calculate area, size, shape, etc. while creating art projects connected to their learning. The Cricut machine allows students to make a plan, draw it out, visualize their learning and program the machine to make their creation. Students then problem solve if the project needs to be altered.
Having these materials will allow students to put their hopes, dreams, and ideas into real art projects using technology, math, and STEAM.
