My Project

I love teaching. My students are excited to learn. They can't wait to learn to read, learn about numbers and how to add and subtract. They love to explore, use all of their senses and work together in small groups. The reading and math games, manipulatives and learning centers will help the children stay engaged, focused and excited about learning. The CVC and short vowel games will provide the students with opportunities to strengthen their reading skills. The ten frames will help them understand numbers skills they are learning in school.

Many of these hands-on activities will enable my students to learn through play.

All students learn through play. Unfortunately, many of my students have missed the opportunity to have a hands-on preschool experience due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For many of my students, this is the first formal schooling that they will experience. I would love to build up my learning centers with more hands-on activities to build their literacy and math skills. I can see how learning through play can ignite a life long love for learning.
