Senior Seminar is a class that all seniors must take in order to graduate. Their capstone projects require them to engage in the community as well as their school environment. Students take on large projects and have been very successful in implementing and completing their projects.
Many of our students do not have a budget to purchase the items needed in order to make their capstone projects successful.
These projects benefit the entire school and the outside community as a whole.
My Project
These materials will help my seniors complete community projects that will benefit our whole school. One group is painting inspirational messages on bathroom stalls to instill a sense of peace and to boost up student self-esteem and moral. They need paint, paint brushes, and other art supplies in order to make this capstone successful. Another group is helping students cope with stress by making stress balls, necklaces, and creating artwork.
Students lead these projects and take responsibility for the work and research needed to make them successful.
This makes them better leaders for the future and works on their ability to collaborate with others
