My Students

There is no shortage of personality, creativity and laughs when it comes to our students. Each day as we welcome them with a warm "Good morning!", they return the same energy with smiles (under their masks) and eyes that light up.

Our Scholars are self advocates, peer advocates, as well as community advocates.

Each day they strive towards their goals while demonstrating their brilliance with a tenacious spirit. Their contributions in the classroom are invaluable. They are eager to learn and push each other through challenging tasks, as they display growth mindset.

We can all attest that these past couple of years have been trying, and a learning curve for all. Despite the struggles, our scholars are resilient and active learners. Students are actively involved in the development of a caring classroom community which allows all students to take educational risks. Each day they push themselves to be wiser, more enlightened and most of all empathetic towards one another.

My Project

Dry-erase boards increase students engagement and are great for collaboration and group projects. These boards are also great for quick assessments during class.

We are sustainability and green school and will curb paper waste and unwanted copies of paper whenever we can.

Individual dry erase boards can be used in class, and can be used for students who are learning from home. Whiteboards are versatile, easier for students to see around the classroom, and allows for more note-taking. With more whiteboards, we can have many students working at once in different parts of the classroom.
