My Head Start classroom is full of 15 amazing 3-5 year old children eager to learn. Our classroom makeup consists of many nationalities, languages, family styles, and learning levels. We are situated in a low socioeconomic environment and offer our children with as much academic enrichment throughout the day as possible. Our children love coming to school and benefit from the consistency that is provided.
The bond my students have together is unimaginable.
At such an early age, they have grown to show compassion and empathy toward one another despite their physical and mental differences. They care for each other and I couldn’t be more honored to be their teacher.
My Project
Art is such a vital part of the preschool school day. When a child has access to many art supplies they are able to explore and expand their imagination and creativity!
These art materials will allow my preschoolers to develop fine motor skills while practicing self-expression through drawing and painting.
Preschool children go through art supplies very quickly! The attached art supplies will ensure I can keep the art area fully stocked in my classroom AND offer new and exciting materials for my children to play with! The colored popsicle sticks, glitter, and confetti will support the idea of open-ended art in my classroom. The shaped hole punchers will greatly assist in fine motor development!
These materials will be especially appreciated at our weekly family engagement activities. The children's families are invited into my classroom on a weekly basis to complete art activities together. Completing art activities together fosters a love of learning for both the children and families.
These art supplies will help my classroom foster positive family-school relationships!
