I teach fifth grade in a school that is approximately sixty-five percent Title One. Over half of our students come from economically disadvantaged homes. We have a diverse group of students, including African Americans, Asians, and Hispanic students. My students come with a variety of needs and reading levels.
These children come to school each day ready to learn and with smiles on their faces.
They are excited to read and love having the chance to choose books in our classroom library. They love new books and any opportunity to read.
My Project
We have been lucky to have gotten a Cricut, heat press and t-shirts from our amazing donors here on DonorsChoose.org. Now we need water bottles to decorate and vinyl to help us create some amazing projects. We also need tools that will help us peel the vinyl easily after it's cut.
My students will be able to make amazing designs and then actually create what they dream of.
We will be using these bottles and vinyl to create items for when students do something amazing. Then they will be able to take their projects home and show them off to parents. This will help with student engagement and pride in work.
