My students are from a low income, rural community and I want to bring engaging, hands-on learning exploration to the classroom. They come to school with many challenges, but they are enthusiastic, fun-loving learners ready to participate and engage. Students can be creative, inventive, and imaginative with art.
I want to incorporate hands-on art exploration so students can incorporate all the standards while they design and create, implementing STEAM in the classroom.
My students thrive off discovery and inquiry. Our class is filled with many different personalities who are excited to learn and create. Each and every day we focus on reflection and improving ourselves as learners.
My Project
I am requesting Cricut supplies so my students can design and create in our Maker-Space. The Cricut is an incredible piece of machinery that uses an assortment of blades to create a variety of designs out of a vast assortment of materials from vinyl, wood and paper.
The Cricut will provide opportunities for students to explore their creativity while learning.
In the classroom, the Cricut can be used to make letters of numerous fonts, 3D models from wood, puzzles, vinyl markers for the floor, puppets, flashcards, labels, banners, t-shirts for students and so much more. By funding this project you will be providing my students with opportunities for creative hands-on interactive learning. The Cricut supplies will allow my students to design and engineer more projects than they thought possible.
