I am a special education teacher in a substantially separate, language-based preschool classroom servicing students with high levels of need. Each day we work toward building communication, play and pre-academic skills necessary for navigating school. To meet their needs, my students all receive extensive related service support including occupational, physical, and speech/language intervention throughout the week.
My students are curious about the world around them, playful, and excited to learn each day.
We love to create artwork, play together in the dramatic play and blocks areas, learn together during group times and sing and dance during our music and movement times. My students benefit from highly structured, individualized teaching to learn important pre-academic, language and social skills! We will all benefit from your support.
My Project
In my intensive needs preschool class, I deliver highly structured, individualized teaching that breaks down larger skills into smaller parts. My students work so hard to master pre-academic, language and social skills and I need to reinforce their hard work with their favorite items!
To deliver this instruction and ensure that my students are learning the skills they need to be successful and independent, I need to create a structured environment in our classroom.
