Creating Strong Readers Through the Magic of Podcasting

My Students

Students of Eaglecrest are positive and hardworking. My students in particular recognize the importance of hard work when it comes to learning. They are courageous learners that recognize the importance of participation. They realize that failure is a vital part of the learning process. They are very willing to offer their thoughts during class knowing full well that their responses might not be the "correct one" but that even misconceptions can guide our class to deeper understanding.

My Project

Using recording equipment, students will create podcasts to improve that can improve both reading and writing skills in a fun and engaging way. Recording podcasts allows students to record themselves reading important passages from books, or writing and record responses to literature, practice fluently reading poems, they may even write and record mini radio dramas. In addition, the video stand will help record mini lessons (such as examples for math) for students who have to stay home.
