The students in my school represent an ethnically and educationally diverse community. As a teacher in a low-income, high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences - especially in the new library program.
My school serves students in grades K-8 and provides rigorous academics, hardworking teachers and a safe learning environment.
Sometimes we need extra materials to help our students learn in a different way due to the various stages of development and academic needs.
My project will try to combine storytelling with technology. My students need a Samsung Chromebook so that we can upload the storytelling videos that they create with the three Vivitar Video Recording Flip Digital Cameras (Black), which can be shared with others.
We also need The Tall Tales Story Telling Board Game - The Family Game of Infinite Storytelling - 5 Ways to Play, to introduce students to storytelling and practice getting comfortable with storytelling.
After playing the game the students can read and work with the Storytelling with children book to continue practicing storytelling.
The Elfinbook 2 Smart Notebook Reusable Erasable Wave Waterproof Spiral Wirebound Cloud-integrated Notebook App Connection School Office Supplies A5 Size 100 pages will be used to create their own stories to tell. The greatest part of this resource is that it is erasable and renewable.
