This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Do you remember when you were in school and mathematics instruction primarily came from a textbook? Our school is new and innovative; part of that innovation is teaching without a textbook, but that creates an atmosphere where things must be repeated constantly. Math videos would eliminate that.

The students that I serve are primarily Title 1 students.

The students do not have textbooks, and I create guided notes for them to use every day. The school believes in being guided by standards rather than textbooks. The students are extremely intelligent and eager to learn when placed in the right environment.

My Project

The resources that I am requesting would help the students by giving them access to lessons any time during the day. The resources would also help the parents by giving them access to lessons and eliminate the frustration of trying to search the Internet for information in order to help their children. I am asking for a digital camcorder in order to help me accomplish this task.

America and other countries are facing more crisis than ever before.

In order to come up with solutions for the decreasing water supply, energy concerns and many other concerns that plague the world right now, we must create classroom environments that help build solid mathematics instruction to children.
