My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions. They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are an inspiration!
Our classroom community is fully inclusive and beautifully diverse with many students coming from around the globe.
Each child has different needs, but they all absolutely love to learn. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, activities, and alternative seating to ensure that each student's needs are met and that they are having fun while exploring and learning! Indeed, they are truly an incredible group!
My Project
Our classroom will be quite different this school year, due to the impact of Covid-19. However, it is my goal to create safe, fun, and engaging learning experiences for my students, despite the required social distancing and other safety regulations. This will be the first year of "traditional" schooling for many of my students and I want to ensure that I make it as playful and engaging as I can!
The LED tablets will allow my students to have their own personal light tablet to engage in literacy, math, and science in hands-on, fun and playful ways; all while maintaining the distance that's needed to keep our students safe.
By having multiple tablets, more students can play at our Light and Exploration Center and it makes our center more mobile; thus allowing more students to experience the fun of light exploration.
