My Students
Passionate students from all walks of life find themselves in the art room. When students walk into the classroom they are welcomed with open arms and taught from their ability level. Art opens doors to future opportunities for many of these students. It allows them to dream, create, connect with others and send their message to the world. It allows students/artists to feel heard and instills a sense of accomplishment in them.
Art is the one classroom in the school that we get to teach a little bit of everything.
From Literacy to Chemistry, students get the chance to demonstrate real-world skills through artistic process and creation. The pride that is seen on students face as they complete a difficult project or solve a problem is truly amazing.
My Project
We are currently learning how to create architectural renderings. These drawings allow the students to express their ideas for the design of spaces to clients, classmates and me (the teacher). These Prismacolor markers allow us to bring professionalism to the drawings that we are creating and get ready to start working with our community as clients. These professional renderings will also be used to create a professional portfolio that the students will display through their professional website. Students will practice presentation skills, budgeting, professional behavior, and client communication in this class. These markers are a key part of allowing the students to create their designs, presentations and communicating with the client based on their vision.
