My students come ready to learn with a love for learning despite their challenges. We are a Title 1 preschool program for students who are low-income, English language learners, or struggle in the areas of cognitive, social, or emotional abilities. Our school's population qualifies for 69% free and reduced lunch and represents 18 countries with 24 native languages.
I working to prepare my preschoolers to thrive in the 21st century by incorporating high-quality STEM in the classroom.
In addition, to be proficient in science, technology, engineering, and math through multiple experiences in exploration and purposeful play.
My students need building materials that focus on STEAM like Magna-Tiles, Design & Build Engineering Centers, Vehicle Building Engineering Center, and Design & Build Water Blocks. I want the children to explore, engage, and create during learning center time with a variety of literature and building material. They will be able to use these manipulatives during our whole group, small group, and learning centers. Our students will be better and learn through creation, invention, construction, and design.
In addition to these materials for hands-on learning, a selection of related books will help my students think of ways to invent their own creations.
Moreover, the children will have fun and learning will be meaningful and relevant.
