Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am the proud teacher of an amazing twenty-five little second graders. Second graders are curious, energetic, and filled with a love of discovery. They are passionate about life and the world as well. The fact that they come from low-income families and communities should not be a factor in setting educational limitations.
I want my students to harness their curiosity into something great and bright.
Help me set them on the right path. Scientists’ secret for understanding the world is their ability to see, interpret, and understand patterns. I want to help my students create, program, and produce patterns using Robots. I believe interpreting and understanding the importance of patterns is crucial for every child.
My goal is for my students to experience science through hands-on activities. With Edison Educational Robot Kits, my students will learn, not only robotics, but they are also learning engineering, math, programming, and general science concepts such as sensors and ultra-light function.

My Project
Understanding patterns is crucial in math, science, technology, and life in general. Patterns are habits that dictate how or when we must do something to produce the most powerful and most desirable effect. Little kids must understand that patterns are created to produce certain outcomes. The outcome depends on their ability to have the opportunity to develop a deep understanding. The robots desired will help my students understand math, science, and promote creative thinking. Also, students will have to work in teams to program the robots. Last, it will give them the opportunity for hands-on activities in the classroom which promotes healthy and enjoyable learning.
