Help me give my students large post it pads to complete our interactive writing, where we share the marker and take turns writing words to our sentences. Thank you for your support!
My students are curious and eager learners! I work with 30-35 students in grades K-5 in small group settings. All groups meet with me each day to receive additional support to continue developing their reading skills. K-2 students work on letter sounds, word building, decoding skills, and fluency. Students in grades 3-5 work on decoding skills, reading with fluency, and comprehension activities.
Our learning environment is a safe and close knit space, where students are comfortable to take risks in their learning and encourage each other to succeed.
They love getting additional books in their hands to read at home and take pride in their reading growth.
My Project
The items that I am requesting will be purposeful in supporting the struggling K-2 readers I work with each day. We are in need of pocket charts for word sorting and poems and the literacy puzzles will give them a hands on experience to apply the specific skills we are practicing.
The most engaging activity for my students is interactive writing, where they share the marker to write our sentences about our story on large post it paper.
They each get to add a small illustration at the bottom and we take a picture to send to parents on SeeSaw.
