Our school is nestled among the mountains and lakes of New Hampshire in a rural setting that services approximately 450 students grades K-8. The middle school wing encompasses 150 creative and energetic students and their passionate teachers and support staff.
We are a school that likes to have fun!
We actively engage in our learning and celebrate community whenever possible. Students not only appreciate their learning environment but also support each other in their educational journeys. Students work together as they overcome obstacles while hiking 4,000 footers and exploring local lakes and the seacoast. They group problem solve to create STEM projects and collaborate during their theatre production. They proudly help the community during service days and Earth day celebrations.
Creating our story is about generating a student designed yearbook. This club is new in its mission to have the students generate the entire yearbook themselves. It will teach the students practical skills such as meeting deadlines, generating schedules, communicating with peers and adults, time management, group work and problem solving.
They are eager to begin but need a good quality camera to capture their middle school moments.
Many students were involved last year but the devices they were using did not produce usable images. This camera will not only inspire a yearbook but allow these students to explore potential career paths and develop lifelong skills.
