My students need Mini Stream Tables so they can learn about weathering, erosion and deposition in our Nature of Science and Earth Science Units.

My Students

Curious, excited, energetic, inspiring. Those are just some of the words I would use to describe my kids. They come from diverse backgrounds---different countries, economical backgrounds, cultures, and family situations. Yet they are all just kids who want to learn, want to be successful, and want to be loved. They are not my students. Once they enter my room, they are my kids for life, and, as their teacher, I want nothing but the best educational experience for all of them.

My Project

My students love hands-on science, and I love providing them with project-based inquiry science lessons that allow them to explore and think for themselves.

Students will be challenged to design a basketball court at the bottom of a hill that will be protected from erosion.

In order to do this, they must first learn about weathering, erosion and deposition. These Mini Stream Tables will engage my students and allow them to have hands-on interactions with weathering, erosion and deposition so they can complete their challenge successfully.

Students who are engaged and can actually interact with the material will want to learn!
