My students need a comfortable place to meet as a class. Our Rainforest Rug will brighten our classroom and provide a comfortable place for them to sit and work together.

My Students

My students are a great group of 7-8 year olds. We have a healthy mix of boys and girls that are on a variety of different learning levels and abilities.

One of the priorities of a second grade classroom is to learn how to work together in cooperative groups and have opportunities to share and speak in a safe and comfortable environment.

As a teacher I want to provide my students an area where they can communicate and work as a group.

My Project

The colorful rainforest rug will provide a comfortable and fun place for my students to meet throughout our school day. We will use this rug to meet as a class and in small groups. This space will be an area where effective learning and cooperative conversations take place.

My desire is to provide a safe and comfortable area for my students to meet together and establish relationships with one another as well as participate in authentic learning opportunities.

What a delight it would be for each of my students to have a special spot to sit and greet their fellow classmates each morning and during our group times.
