This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I want them to know I believe in them, and they can do anything. My goal as their teacher is to provide them with the materials and opportunities they need in order to be as successful as possible.
They want to be engaged in each and every aspect of the school day.
I teach at a Title I school in Louisiana where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.
My Project
We are incorporating project-based assignments into our curriculum. Often the students are required to create a display for these big assignments. Having a machine will help the students make their final projects stand out! The Silhouette machine will cut through paper, vinyl, and other materials. All of these materials come in the bundle and can be used in the project for letters or images. The Silhouette will be a great addition to our crafting center. Using the Silhouette will help my students gain valuable 21st-century skills in engineering and crafting can be applied in a future career. This machine will improve students creativity and imagination.
