Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My young students are are unique, encouraging, and hardworking. We created our classroom community to align with our school's expectations as well. My students' love to be challenged with hands-on activities so they can fully immerse themselves in their learning.
My second grade students are teaching me as much as I am teaching them.
We have a wonderful, supportive team within our school community. We want to give our new students a new opportunity within every classroom we have on campus. We want to give our students all the tools they need to succeed.
My Project
I am requesting materials for my students to explore and investigate their world around them through science. I want to give my students the opportunity to detect and understand scientific topics within my classroom. My students are passionate about learning all about science; therefore, these requested materials - science tubs and digital microscopes will support my students' interests. We are also requesting flexible seating, magnets, journals, microscopes and globes, to support their spark of passion for science and math.
I want to create livelong scientific learners.
These resources will spark a greater passion with science for my students. Our world is making great advancements in science and it is essential our students grow interest and passion for the subject. Along with these science materials include hands-on math resources, which include magnetic base ten manipulatives and magnetic money for my students to master mathematical topics.
