Help me give my students quality PE equipment, so that I can teach skills and standards based PE. I want to provide my students with the skills and confidence that will encourage them to be life long movers.
My students are amazing. They are creative and innovative. My students overcome struggles every day and come out with a smile on their face. I am amazed and inspired by them every day!! They are of mixed abilities but most are below grade level. Most live in poverty and just want to improve their situation through education! They come ready to learn and experience things they may not be able to at home.
My students crave structure and understanding.
As a teacher, I want to make sure that I provide these students with an environment that allows them to be comfortable making mistakes and excited to thrive. I want them to get every possible opportunity to do better and get experiences that they may not get in their home life.
My Project
My students are craving a structured PE program that allows them to gain skills to become more confident. I want to encourage my students to be healthy and happy for their entire life.
By giving them a quality PE program that focuses on skills and standards, they will be able to become more confident movers and have a higher chance of continuing to be healthy and physically active through out their life.
The impact that a quality PE program has on the general education classroom has been proven. Allowing students to release their energy in a structured but fun way, allows them to be more attentive and ready to learn in the classroom.
