My students need 1 MP3 player so that they are able to listen to reading. Listening to reading is an important component to implementing Daily 5 in the classroom.

My Students

Many of my kindergarten students are not able to read yet but would enjoy listening to a story. Kindergarten students would be able to learn through stories and songs played through the MP3 listening center.

I teach all-day kindergarten!

My students love stories and I would like to provide them more opportunity to listening to stories. They learn so much from stories and also from music that teaches skills. Can you imagine how the students' imagine would soar?! Re-telling of stories is an important skills for kindergarten students to learn. Students could also create their own stories to download onto the MP3 for the other kids to hear. The teacher would download important skills that students needs to learn! The possibilities are endless!

My Project

If my students had the use of a listening center they would be learning in a fun way and it would also allow the teacher more opportunity to meet with small groups of students and better meet their educational needs. A listening center helps create independent learners. I can't even tell you how much fun the students would have listening to all the stories!

Students need to have a fun way of learning about books and stories! They would also be able to listen to music! It is so inspiring when you hear students singing the music that they learned in class!
