My Students

I'm in a unique position because all 500 students in the school are my students and use my classroom. They come to me with many needs to be met and frequently have technology issues they can't solve on their own.

We have introduced a 1:1 technology initiative to help students learn real-world skills.

My school is a Title I school with a high population of economically disadvantaged students, 53% of which receive free and reduced lunches and 22.6% have disabilities.

My Project

I am teaching innovative, future-focused, real-world learners who need access to a variety of technologies. A touchscreen Chromebook will allow students to create projects and solve problems with a real-world focus, not just learn from a textbook

Adding even one piece of technology will give students experience with hands-on learning and design, not simply working through computer simulations.

Students will use this technology to create models and produce amazing projects. This touchscreen Chromebook will give all students the opportunity to create, design and solve real-world problems on-the-go instead of being tied to a desk in a classroom. This will help students with creativity, design, and practice for on the job training.
