My students need to perform on a wide variety on instruments. Low reed instruments have been donated and repaired. These accessories will allow students to use them in class and performances.
The M. Middle School Band program currently has approximately 100 students in grades 6-8. MMS is an Edgefield County Public School located in North Augusta, South Carolina. Members of the MMS Bands show dedication above what is asked of a typical middle school student. The MMS band has students who successfully compete in local, regional, and state level music competitions. Our band students also support our school and community through a variety of performances each year including around semi-annual Dessert Theatre performances..
The band has students of all ability levels and learning styles as well as students from a variety of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
The mission of the MMS Bands is give every student the opportunity to perform as part of a team and express their musical talents.
My Project
The MMS Band program wants to add Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, and Bass Clarinet to their performances.
Students that perform on the clarinet and saxophone can expand their studies with the use of these instruments.
Clarinet choirs, saxophone quartets, and the general ensemble will all be able to use these instrument during performances and rehearsals.
The instruments have all been donated, repaired, and are ready to be played. The final step is getting the accessories needed to Create Great Sounds on the instruments.
