Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a group of first grade dual-language students full of passion and drive. In our class, we constantly work as a team to help each other grow.
My students come from diversified backgrounds and see school as their safe place and the place they want to be at to get heard.
Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They always yearn for more from the classroom and look for new ways to learn while at school. They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!
My Project
The composition notebooks I am asking for will help my students flourish into strong and confident writers. The more they practice the better they will get. These materials will allow students to go through the different stages of writing before publishing their own pieces. Most importantly the blank books will help my students see themselves as authors after creating their very own book! After the books are complete they will be able to share it with others during our publishing party!
By obtaining these writing items I will be able to motivate my students to see themselves as authors.
