I have 23 hard working kindergarten students who enjoy learning. They are between 5 and 6 years old. They are energetic and very loving. If not taught in an active style, they become very tired half way through the day.
My students are like a family once they enter our classroom.
They help each other, are compassionate, and are very social. They all come from different backgrounds and bring different knowledge to the table, but together we are able to accomplish magnificent things.
My students are from a rural area, with a very tight knit community. Our school is very small, with only 8 teachers, Pre-K through second grade. This helps build the community atmosphere of our school, and makes us all feel like family.
My Project
My students have been working hard to create many different kinds of informational books. They can only print out black and white pictures and have to color them with crayons to add to their pages. This project would allow them to create colored pages of their books and print them out. We could also make additional copies of book pages to keep a copy of the book in our classroom library so their friends can read it too.
With the Cameo my student will create shirts for our school events.
They will be able to cute out pictures of different items to add more interesting textures to their texts. I will be able to use it to add support in our classroom by creating helpful walls and inspirational quotes. Other teachers will also be able to use it to enhance their classes learning environment as well.
