Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
In the middle of a valley, is a class of eager and bright students needing your help. My students need materials to enhance math, writing and reading skills. The students in our class come from a range of socioeconomic, academic and cultural backgrounds. However, they have a lot more in common than they do differently.
Our classroom is an inclusion class, where there is a mix of general education and special education students.
Students learn from one another. They learn to become role models, peer reviewers and learn to get along with one another. One hundred percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
My Project
The Cricut machine and drawing book we are requesting will help students create creative presentations and projects to demonstrate their learning and knowledge. Many of our students do not have the resources to create projects at home. Having the materials ready at school will boost self esteem and ignite creativity.
Students can set the stage for our classroom!
The materials can also be used to enhance our classroom environment! Students can create motivational and kindness posters for the class, holiday decorations to set the stage and educational materials to aid in what we are learning in the class using the Cricut machine and drawing book as guides and templates.
Our students put in so much work doing research projects and writing narratives, these materials would help students showcase their learning and hard work. Students can use the Cricut machine to make display boards that they can present to other students and community nights.
