When a five year old walks into a classroom, sometimes for the first time ever, their eyes dart around and you can see the excitement and nervousness they are feeling. Many of my students have never gone to preschool and are unsure of what school is all about. It is exciting to be able see the amazing growth they make throughout the year.
"Can I bring this home to read to Mommy?!" That is what I have heard from students when they read a book for the first time.
The excitement they have when they finally can read a book is infectious.
My Project
My students need more hands-on centers that focus on their fine-motor skills as well as some that are fun and academic too. Students are more engaged when the centers are colorful versus black and white, therefore we need to have the Eco Tank Color printer to be able to print the materials and a laminator to help protect them for frequent use.
By donating to our project, you will help the students increase their fine motor skills, as well as their academic skills.
Students have time in the morning while others are eating breakfast and we want to use this time effectively. Students will have morning work that will focus on improving their fine motor skills and the storage cart will help keep these centers organized for them to be able to access.
