The 2016-2017 school year is getting closer. The new year brings excitement in learning for students. I have the pleasure of inspiring children to dream and hope for their dreams. The students of our school community are amazing and talented individuals. The items I have chosen will greatly enhance my classroom instruction.
It is my responsibility as an educator to remove the four walls of the classroom and create learning experiences for my students.
Our classroom uses multiple hands-on activities to help enhance learning.
My Project
This project will help create new learning experiences for my students. We are located in a small community in Southeast Texas. We have many students that are unable to experience the world around us outside our community. I believe in giving our students a voice in their learning. As an adult, I am engaged in learning when I feel safe, comfortable, and motivated. The items I have chosen, such as the futon, picnic table, and bean bag chair, will allow my students to work in a flexible seating environment.
Positive motivation sparks engagement in the classroom.
The digital camera will give the students an opportunity to document, create, and share their learning on a daily basis.
