This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a K-4 School Librarian in a Title One school filled with amazing students. If given the right opportunities these students will be able to maximize their potential in all content areas. School is a very important place for these students. I feel a profound need to provide each and every one with the tools and experiences that will foster a love of learning while achieving academic success.

My students come to school each and every day eager to learn.

In many cases they prefer to be in school instead of having a day off. I would like to make their time with me as rich as possible.

My Project

Learning coding is an important skill for students to master. As they move on in their educational journey as well as their careers, coding will be one of those deal breaking abilities when it comes to acquiring a fulfilling job.

Since they begin their education of programming starting in elementary school, it is important to make it engaging and fun.

My students have learned how to do block coding and using a Dash robot will be the perfect way to apply and practice their coding. I would like to obtain as many dash robots as possible but will be happy to get one more at this time.
