This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

How would you feel if you could not communicate ideas in the best possible way? Art classes are often overlooked in the technology department.

Some of these students are not able to use a computer at home.

They like learning, but they need that extra stimulation that technology can bring them. Most students will not have opportunity to understand culture outside their own. They do attend a fairly new school, but again technology is overlooked in the art department.

My Project

My students need a projector. I will be able to show my students examples of artists' artwork and I will be able to communicate with them in an exciting way for learning. I will be able to share with them a culture besides their own. I will be able to save money on art posters and use the money to buy supplies for the students to create.

Donations for the projector will bring successes to my students.

I teach students pre-k-5th grade. I will be able to use this at all grade levels. My students will have a better understanding of the world around them. They will also have a better understanding of art history and why we make art.
