My Students

I am a first-year teacher of 8th grade ELA and science this year.

Although I have yet to meet my students this school year, I want nothing but the best educational experience for each and every child. My students are part of a large district rich in culture, which celebrates inclusion and diversity. Students are part of an IB program, allowing them to be a part of the global community and explore the world around them.

My Project

I am looking to build a classroom library that will appeal to all of my students' interests. Because all students have various reading abilities, I also need a library that contains books at different reading levels.

I aspire to create a balance of all genres, as well as including diverse characters that students of all backgrounds and cultures feel they can relate to.

Personally, I discovered so many amazing books during my middle school and high school years that inspired me and developed my love of reading. I hope through this project, I can share that passion with my students.
