My third-grade students are bright, creative and eager to learn. They genuinely love coming to school each day, ready to soak up all that they can and to participate in all the activities planned for them. Students come to school each day with wide eyes and eagerness. Our school believes in teaching students through projects or inquiry-based learning. We partner with the community around us and take our learning outdoors, as well as balance the learning in the classroom. Our school is a wonderful place to not only teach but for students to grow.
My Project
My third graders learn how to write narrative stories using vivid details and dialogue throughout the year. Then they start to write informational essays about various topics. They also explore poetry and using a variety of figurative language in their writing. Finally, they form opinions and write about their beliefs by giving supporting details and rationale.
Let's help them remember and celebrate their hard work in writing throughout the year by helping them create a physical book of their third grade writing collection.
In order to do so, they will need a book binding machine and binding combs to put the pages of their book together. They can create their own covers using colorful gel pens and laminating them so that they can keep this writing collection book for a long time.
