I work in a high poverty school district with a diverse student body. My students come from a wide variety of cultures, socioeconomic statuses, and family backgrounds. Many of my students are English language learners coming from countries all over the world!
My students face many obstacles, but they do so with grit and determination.
Each day they come to school ready to learn and work hard. They are eager and curious learners who value their education. This project will help foster their love of learning!
My Project
This project will create a classroom environment that is both organized and inviting. A safe, happy classroom environment is a crucial component to student engagement. I want my students to feel at home when they walk into our classroom and take pride and ownership in our space.
My goal is to create a warm and inviting space to nurture and encourage diverse learning experiences.
A classroom mat will provide students with a comfortable space for our daily morning meetings, and an area to curl up with a new, exciting book. Motivational posters will be a daily reminder to students that their future is full of endless possibilities.
Additionally, this project will fund basic school supplies to keep students organized and on track for success throughout the school year.
