Creating a Welcoming Space for Students

Help me give my students a variety of items that include snacks for testing, mindfulness tools, and other supplies.

My Project

At our high school, grade level counselors loop up with their students. This is my second year with the class of 2024, and I've been fortunate enough to witness how wonderful they all are in our short time together. The strength they've developed from persevering through a pandemic (both inside and outside of school) is unmatched. As a counselor, I'd like to help create a safe space and foster a positive high school experience for my students.

Your donation will have a multidimensional impact on my students.

Part of the supplies will go towards providing supplies and food for Advanced Placement testing, which takes place at the end of the year. Other items will go towards improving physical office space. For instance, the cleaning supplies will go towards creating a safe and pristine space for my students to visit. Whereas the poster boards, bulletin décor, and chair will go towards improving my space for when student seek services. Lastly, there are counseling mindfulness items for my students to use as well. These include fidget items, putty, stickers, etc.

There is an ‘Ōlelo No‘eau that reads "Hoʻokahi ka ʻilau like ʻana" (ON #1068). This directly translates to, "wield the paddles together." I'm hoping that we can work together to help my students in a multifaceted manner. Mahalo in advance for your time and consideration towards this project!
