My Students
My students come from very diverse ethnic, cultural, and language backgrounds and attend an urban school in Worcester, MA. Most of my students come from low-income families with needs that challenge their learning and performance in school.
Despite the challenges my students bring to school, they are extraordinary and I love working with them.
They bring unique and interesting world views, they are joyful learners, and they look to their teachers not just for learning, but for love and guidance.
My Project
The resources I chose will do two things: First, they will help keep my students organized, and second, they will enhance my ESL teaching. The connecting bins will be used to help the students in my pull-out groups create personalized learning boxes that will store the school tools, books, and projects they are working on throughout the year. The easel will organize my teaching by keeping all of my teaching needs in one place.
I am a new teacher, so I am still establishing and setting up my classroom environment.
I see my students in smaller groups, but I want my teaching space to be truly dynamic.
