Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My school's goal is to provide a rigorous education and a safe learning environment. Our students come from low social economic backgrounds with over 94% of students receiving free and reduced lunch. Many of our student receive backpack food on the weekend to supplement poverty in our area.

This project will help 24 students living and attending school in this area with the access to the technology needed for the 21st century.

My students need more technology in the class to prepare and complete daily lessons and activities.

My Project

Laptops can foster students' abilities, transform the way they work and think, and give them new access to the world. Laptops can also foster an increase in the quantity and quality of students' thinking and writing. My students will enjoy being able to work on group projects and create real-life PowerPoints.

Please give to help me enhance the knowledge of my learners through the use of laptops.

Having laptops will allow for different structures of learning in my classroom. My students will enjoy being able to use the laptop to create more meaningful work. When my students research and create work through these new laptops, they will learn more and appreciate the learning tools that have been planted in front of them.
