Help me give my students quality materials that will assist them in their academic and emotional learning- you can help provide my students a positive and safe classroom environment.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My future students are outstanding, inspiring and amazing eight and nine year olds ready to learn all they can! I will be teaching third grade for the first time next year. This is a crucial year for students academically and emotionally. The students are truly coming into themselves- developing their own personalities. The materials I am asking for will help the students immensely.
In order to begin the school year on the right foot we want to begin our learning right away with quality materials!
Our school is a K-8 school located in North Philadelphia- all of our children qualify for free/reduced lunches. Some of the students in our school have experienced serious trauma and school may be the safest place for them to be at times. I want to make school a pleasant and productive experience for all when they step into my classroom.
Help my student of next year become the best they can be all while learning in a safe and productive environment!
My Project
The materials I am asking for will help my students immensely. I am asking for noise canceling headphones so that my students can be completely focused on their work and not be distracted by outside noise. There are students who have experienced trauma at such a young age that they have become very sensory aware. The headphones will allow my students to produce their best work while feeling safe and focused!
In order for students to complete their best work and reach their full potential they need to have a productive environment in the classroom.
The wobble cushion chairs will allow my students to release their energy in a safe manner by staying in their seats. The wobble cushions are a wonderful tool for students to use and would help make my classroom sensory friendly!
