Help me give my students the opportunity to learn from a classroom that somewhat resembles what they are use to. I would like to create a remote learning space that works for both students and teacher.
Our school is a low-income, high poverty elementary school of over five hundred students. My students are faced with a wide range of challenges from fluctuating caretakers to homelessness, learning and developmental disabilities, to not having adequate food and clothing.
With these adversities, come along with behaviors and needs that interfere with learning.
Students, as young as four, walk into our building everyday carrying enormous weight on their shoulders that many of us have never had to worry about. My job as an educator is to give them as many opportunities as I can in our changing 21st Century world.
My Project
My students will benefit greatly from the materials provided in this project. As a fully remote teacher, I am looking to create a remote learning space in my home that is both conducive for teaching and learning. I will be teaching 100% remotely and my instructions will be completely virtual.
I am looking for an easel and markers so that I can create anchor charts and write material on the board.
I am also in need of a wireless headset and mouse so that I can present materials while standing away from my computer. I am hoping these materials will allow me to present lessons as if I were actually standing in front of my students.
These materials will allow me the flexibility to provide my students with quality instruction. The materials provided will allow me to present new lessons and learning materials to all students in a manner that is comfortable and familiar to all students.
