My students are amazing! They are so eager to learn and expand their horizons. I have been at this school for one year. The students and families have welcomed me with open arms. No matter what comes their way, my students constantly try hard and persevere. The best part of my day is when my students come in first thing in the morning with a huge smile on their face.
My class is an inclusion classroom, this means that some of my students have special needs and this only adds to our amazing classroom culture.
All of my students come in ready to learn and try new things every day. They know that our classroom is a safe place to explore, cooperate with peers and build their knowledge. No matter the differences, all of my students are ready to explore, learn and grow!
My Project
My students are in desperate need of a new carpet for our classroom. Our current carpet has been in that classroom for years and does not meet our needs. Currently, our classroom carpet is used during our morning meeting, introduction to new topics, and as an alternative place for students to work.
This carpet will create a place where students can collaborate and where we can meet together as a class to learn and build our classroom community.
Additionally, these calming colors will help support some of my special education students. The clear sections on the rug will help my young students learn about boundaries and respecting each others' space. This rug will be a central point of learning in our classroom.
