I have the most creative, amazing, quick-witted, talented students who brighten up my room with their curiosities and creativity. They come from all cultures and demographics. Some have traveled far to be here, whether it is with their military families or relocating from other states or countries to find a better life. Because of our location, students have limited in-person opportunities to see the world, so I strive to open my doors to global opportunities as often as I can. My students deserve every opportunity, and I hope you will choose to partner with our class to make that happen.

My Project
School should be a lot like Disney World. Luckily, there is a professional development for this! I will be learning how Disney creates and manages this magic. We will need admission to the parks because that is where all of the learning will be taking place. Our learning will take us all through the wonderful world of Disney to learn inquiry-based teaching strategies in the classroom. We will be focusing on four areas during our professional development--Passion for Teaching, Creating a Climate of Magic, Embracing Failure, and Taking Risks.
Our instructors have created a dream professional development that includes incredible adventures throughout our time including inquiry-based scavenger hunts that will help us generate ideas on how to make our classroom a place where magical things can happen by taking risks.
Taking these risks will involve a level of failure, but this professional development will help our passion for our job grow and allow students to turn those failures into dream experiences.
Walt Disney World is the happiest place on Earth and this will be an amazing opportunity to grow as a professional. I will be so pumped to bring ideas back to my classroom that involve creating a place where students feel safe to take risks with their learning, creating an environment that is magical, and helping my passion for children and their learning to soar to new heights.
