My students are both inquisitive and excited about their learning journey. Everyday that we embark on our learning journey, they get very excited and engage in new topics and often relate those topics to their lives and cultures. They are excited about learning and they leave more excited than they came for the next day of learning!
What's makes my kids different is that they are the underdogs; these spectacular kids that require more help and in-depth teaching; they are the unwanted kids.
They come from various impoverished communities and backgrounds and because people have written them off. However, when they are given the right environment, tools and and support...my kids shine.
In my years of teaching, I have never been more inspired to give my children an excellent educational environment, they deserve every opportunity in the world and I plan to bend over backwards to give it to them.
Every item on my list will create a magical, inspiring, and organized atmosphere for students who don't have magic at home!
I want to create a modern and inviting reading corner with decals, chairs, signs and lights.
This will promote excitement about literacy and reading.
Most children are not able to buy school supplies, so I want to create starter kits for my fifth graders and show them that they are more than where they come from. School was my special home away from home when I was a child, I want my students to have a special home too.
