Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This year will be my second year teaching, but my first year in Kindergarten! With this being the case, most of my supplies are intended for third graders who have experience in the classroom, rather than the newest group of learners! I would love to support my new learners with an environment that will grow their love for learning. My school is very diverse and full of bright young students ready and eager to learn.
Not only are my students entering kindergarten, but I am too!
I'm excited to be going in the second year of my career in such a diverse community with so many amazing students and teachers. I can't wait to create so many memories with my students and help them grow a love of learning!
My Project
All of the materials listed in my project will be used by my future kindergarten students. As a first year kindergarten teacher, I would love to teach my students to love learning, and to do so I would love for them to have a hands-on experience with learning. With the various sight word, phonics, and numbers activities, the students will be able to discover what they're learning, and apply what they're learning to hands-on activities. The white boards will allow my students to be interactive with lessons whether it is at their desks or on the carpet. The book sets will provide my students with more picture books since I primarily have chapter books from teaching third grade.
With the future being unknown, I would like to be prepared to give my students the best learning experience possible.
