My Students

My 5th graders are a rambunctious group.

Their energy is so contagious. I teach at a year round K-5 school. I love the year-round schedule. The staff at my school are like a big family. They are amazing! I couldn't make it through each year without them!

My Project

While attending the training I will learn how to plan lessons that will keep my students engaged and love learning. This training will also teach me how to help my students facilitate their own learning so they are held accountable. I hope to change the way my students view school. I want my students to see school as a fun place to learn, grow and succeed. I also plan to bring all the information I learned back to my school and share it with the staff. We can all benefit from this training.

The donations to this project will change my students' views of school.

Most students don't want to come to school anymore because all they do is sit and listen. As teachers, we have to make a change in our teaching style that will engage our students and make them want to come to school every day.
