My Students
My students are full of energy, creative, and inquisitive. They absolutely love hands-on and engaging activities that help them learn! They come to school every single day ready to learn and take on the challenges learning has to offer.
My students have a love for learning in different spaces of our classroom.
They do their best learning when they are in a comfortable space in our classroom that is just right for them. The students in my classroom feel empowered when they choose their best learning environment. This helps them know they can be successful in the decisions they make on a daily basis.
My Project
I have already started a flexible seating learning environment. Right now, students are sitting on the floor at their tables. They are loving the chance to learn in a different space; however, they would love having floor chairs!
Flexible seating allows my students to take charge of their learning and make choices that help them learn best.
During guided reading and math times, they choose a location in the classroom that helps them do their best learning. Currently my students are choosing to work in a variety of locations in our room. Making sure students are in their optimal learning zone is an essential component in motivating them. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given a choice in their seating. I am seeing them make good choices about where they sit, are more engaged, and get more work completed than when they are just sitting at a desk.
I can see a difference in their attitude towards learning and they are excited to come to school each and every day. Every day, I see how their seating choice can positively affect their work. I hope having additional seating at our tables will benefit their learning.
The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The floor seats will get my students off the carpet and into a comfortable seat to help them engage in their learning even more!
